Disclosed Recordings' Sunday Sesh offers an intimate glimpse into the rich talent of Tasmanian musicians through exclusive live performances. Each session, filmed at Disclosed Recordings, features artists playing two original songs or one original and a cover, capturing the essence of their unique sound.

MICHAEL ST. MICHAEL

In this session, Michael St. Michael delivers an acoustic rendition of Scattabrain's latest single, "Telephone My," which we had the privilege of recording, mixing, and mastering. He also performs a mesmerising cover of "Silver Coin" by Angus and Julia Stone, originally from their debut album A Book Like This.

Scattabrain, a Tasmanian alternative band, has recently released their new single "Telephone My" in September 2024. The track features a moody, introspective vibe with a focus on the themes of miscommunication and emotional disconnection. The lyrics reflect the struggle of trying to reach someone emotionally, highlighted by the line "You tried to telephone my kind." The song captures a raw, emotional atmosphere that aligns with the band's alternative sound.

Cam Illingworth

In this session, cam illingworth performs his debut solo single, 'sitcom reruns,' which we had the pleasure of recording, mixing, and mastering. He also delivers a captivating rendition of 'Love is a Laserquest' by Arctic Monkeys, from their 2011 album Suck It and See.

Cam Illingworth is an Australian musician known for blending elements of folk and indie in his music. His style features introspective lyrics, emotive vocal delivery, and a balance between acoustic and electric instrumentation. Cam often draws from personal experiences, using his music to explore themes of love, growth, and self-reflection. His songs are generally atmospheric, sometimes tinged with melancholic undertones, but they also carry a hopeful, uplifting energy through his melodic choices and lyrical depth.

Oscar O'Shea

In this session, Oscar performs his original song, "Lost the Light," which explores the feeling of losing connection with important parts of himself. He describes it as a journey of rediscovery and self-awareness. The trio also brings a heartfelt rendition of Jason Isbell's "Cover Me Up," a track that has always struck a chord with Oscar. "It’s a dynamic song with grit, but the songwriting has a tenderness that feels deeply personal and honest," he shares.

B.Raymond and the Gold Tones

In this session, B. Raymond and The Gold Tones perform two captivating originals: "Donna," which explores the feeling of exhaustion and the irresistible pull to keep going back, and "Tennessee Daniels," a nod to spaghetti westerns and cowboy ballads that reflects their perspective on American politics.

B. Raymond describes the music as honest and gentle. Sharing life lessons, personal stories and observations B. Raymond says what needs to be said while giving us a big warm hug. Songs are decorated with Soul, Folk and Blues guitars.
